It's that time again--happy Wine Wednesday everybody! Hope the summer months are treating you well. Today, for our little mid-week holiday, I have a great wine / book pairing for you. Author Dana Terry's romance novella, In Love With the Writer, is the perfect afternoon read if you're looking for something light, sweet and relatable but with dynamic characters. Paired with a glass of Bliss Chardonnay, it makes for a delightful romance reading experience. Cheers and, as always, happy reading! ![]() Lindsay loves reading and writing romances. She's falling for her handsome writing instructor, Ryan, but a past hurt is holding her back. Ryan is a successful author, older and more experienced. He lives alone in a beautiful home that's way too big for one person. The only thing missing in his life is love. He needs to break through to Lindsay, but a secret from his past could hurt her again. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DD7T9JW From my review:
~I loved this story! It was the perfect afternoon read. I opened it up to clear my head a little bit and couldn’t stop reading until I was done. I was completely absorbed with hoping that Lindsay and Ryan would forget about all the obstacles they kept putting in their own way and finally come together. The book plays on a favorite trope—student falling in love with the teacher and is a quick read but the characters managed to have a satisfying amount of depth in such a short time and I felt like I was right in the story with them. They are both just lovely! I see that this author has another novella out and I’ve already added it to my tbr. Sometimes novellas like this one can be just the right length when you have a couple of spare hours all to yourself. What romance novellas do you recommend?

I read this book back in high school when my best friend lent it to me. To be honest, I am not a big fan of romance novellas, so I did not have much expectations of how it was going to be once I finished it. Surprisingly, I found myself enjoying and I could not put it down because it gets better and better as the story goes on. What I love most when it comes to Lindsay and Ryan's relationship is the amount of respect they have for one another. Although Ryan is older than Lindsay, he sees Lindsay as his equal and does not undermine her.
