Happy 2018 from the blog! After a break for the holidays, I just wanted to take this first post of the new year to wish everyone well. I hope the holiday season was a joyous time for all of you and your loved ones.
I am very excited to get things rolling on the Tides of Atlantis series early this year with the first book in the series, Moontide, is going through the final stages before release day. I am planning for a February launch and I am so excited to bring the Tides world to you. Stay tuned for the cover reveal, I will be posting teasers here and on social media this week! Before we get too far into January though, I just wanted to take a look back at my first book Snow Maiden and thank everyone who was so supportive of it since it went live a little over a month ago. Friends, family and all those of you who were so encouraging - you have my heartfelt thanks. This book was a learning experience for me and a project that I undertook, mostly, to teach myself as much as I could about self publishing but I really fell in love with the story and had so much fun creating it that I’ve made plans to do more Ballet Fairy Tale based romances in the future and will keep you updated. I was really happy with the way the Snow Maiden turned out and, even more so, with the response it got even though I did little to no marketing or promotions for it besides my posts here and on my social media sites. Aside from that, I still managed to get a really wonderful 5 star review from Miss Angela Gibbons, who discovered Snow Maiden and was gracious enough to go out on a limb with a new indie author and not only read but review my book on Amazon and Goodreads. So a big shout out and thank you to Angela for all of her support. She even featured the Snow Maiden theme in some beautiful jewelry she made for her business Whiskey Angel Designs which is the coolest thing ever and so pretty! Then, over the weekend, I was happy to be informed that a review of Snow Maiden had gone up on the paranormal romance blog I Smell Sheep. Reviewer Bethany green of I Smell Sheep did a very nice write up of it there and gave it 5 sheep no less! Here is the link if you would like to pop over and have a look. So another shout out and a huge thank you to Bethany. I hadn’t done a whole lot of sharing since this was my first book but I didn’t want to wait any longer to thank those who have been so giving with their time and support. Your interest means so much to me and is helping me to learn and grow with my writing more than you can know. Looking ahead, my main goal for this year is to launch the Tides series. I am really looking forward to Moontide. I’ve had this world taking up residence in my mind for quite a while now and hope you will enjoy the characters and the premise behind this new mythology romance. Be sure to look for teasers and, of course the cover reveal. Another big thank you to cover designer Anika of Ravenborn Designs, whose work is amazing! She did the Snow Maiden cover and now has created the cover for Moontide which, I don’t know if you can tell, but I am bursting at the seams to share with you all – so exciting! Until then, I wish you all health and lots of happy reading in the 2018! What are some of your plans for the New Year? What books are you hoping to read this year and what trends in romance are you looking forward to?
