One crazy week will change Scarlett’s life forever.
For the last ten years, Scarlett thought her Fated Mate was dead … until he hit her with a buggy in the shampoo aisle of the grocery store three days after she moved to a small town in the Georgia mountains.
That little bump leads to a girlfriend road trip, a hot centaur, a creepy co-worker, and a gremlin sidekick who stabs first and asks questions … never.
When the local romance book club – The Crazy Cats – adopted her all bets were off. They planned her wedding and helped her settle into their small town before she knew what was happening.
Will, she chose the charming Derek Heiss (the King of Centaurs) or Ian Beckett (a small town deputy she was born to love)?
From my review:
A sweet shifter romance! Scarlett is a very enjoyable read. It’s packed with humor, witty internal monologue from the heroine, and lots of super hot alphas from all spectrum of the mythical world. The gremlins were adorable and I now am wondering where I can find one of my own. All in all, a fun book that kept me reading from beginning to end!

From my review:
A sweet girl, a sexy bad boy and an unforgettable cast of characters. I’m in love with this sexy, suspenseful, small town romance. All the characters are great. I want my own Miles. He’s so supportive and protective of Claire and I loved his sense of humor. When you discover an author that can make you fall in love with their supporting characters, you know you’ve found a gem!
But on to Claire and Boh, their romance is both sweet and intense. This second Angelbay book takes the reader on even more of an emotional roller coaster ride with lots of twists and turns and many more secrets revealed. Claire rocks Boh’s tough guy world and I enjoyed watching her come into her own. Boh’s side of things is equally intense as he deals with his troubled past. It’s a rocky road for both of them but that makes the HEA all the sweeter.
Faber’s written a page turner for sure that left me wanting more, especially with the teaser at the end for McKenzie and War’s story in the next book of the series which promises to be smoking hot. Can’t wait!
Happy Wine and Book Wednesday, everyone! This week's pairing is brought to you by Author K.M. Keeton's erotic romance, His and Black Diamond Chardonnay. Both are smooth and seductive with a hint of the unexpected. If you're looking for an intriguing erotic romance with bdsm themes and the perfect glass to go along with it, then give His and Black Diamond a try. Links and review down below.
Lana never expected for her life to take the turn that it did. Being married with children she had no business to have a wandering eye, but the day Donaven stood in front of her, she felt an instant connection, a longing desire. After many months she finally lost herself in his world, discovering the woman she was always meant to be.
Donaven from the beginning knew the outcome of the end, yet there was no stopping him from his Lana, his Wildling.
Not a HEA, but you can keep the H for Hope…
From my review:
... captured my interest right from the start and I finished it in one sitting. The author’s delivery was perfect, very sophisticated and emotional, never relying on shock value to get the point across which I appreciated. His is a story of one woman’s journey to self-rediscovery. It’s full of steamy sensual scenes and intriguing characters. I loved how Donaven helped Lana to see her worth and regain the confidence she had lost over the years due to a variety of circumstances. He was a dom to die for and the twist at the end was great. I can’t wait to read more in the Kaleidoscope of Desire series.
Happy Wine Wednesday, everyone! Grab up your copy today then pour yourself a glass of Avant and enjoy. Happy reading!
Zoe Simmons receives a text on her wedding day. Her fiance called off the wedding. No explanation and he is soon traded to another hockey team, the Detroit Steels. She is devastated and has an emotional breakdown. After a few months she returns to her lonely life. Numb and withdrawn, she throws herself into her work as an assistant to general manager of the NHL team The San Jose Otters. Fast forward three years, The Otters are contenders for the Stanley Cup that include a shocking trade, Killian "Ki" Connery. The man who left her at the altar in humiliation and shame. Another blow comes when her father, Jed Simmons, negotiated the trade of her former fiance without telling her. How will she be able to endure being around the man her heart yearns for but her mind rebels against? Not to mention the scandal that is about to break opening up her private life to further scrutiny by the media?
Killian "Ki" Connery
The woman he loves jilted him at the altar and he is banished to Detroit to play for The Steels. The former star and captain of The Otters is crushed by the betrayal of his love he's never gotten over. He survives through sheer will power and playing hockey while fighting the underlying demons plaguing him. Jesse Ward comes into his life and they become America's Sweethearts of the media. Little does Ki know the part Jesse played in his breakup with his true love Zoe.
This story will keep you on your toes with an intense love story, challenges, betrayal and overcoming the odds that love conquers all.
Another great angsty book by Trisha Harley McCarthy, author of the acclaimed Granite Bay Series.
From my review:
I have to admit, I usually shy away from celebrity romances because I always figure I won’t be able to relate to the characters, but the author did a terrific job of humanizing this power couple. On Ice pulls back the veil from what one might consider a very glamorous lifestyle and sheds light on the hardest parts of celebrity ie. dealing with the media, paparazzi and the darker sides of the sports/entertainment business, not to mention she brings several mental health issues to the forefront.
Killian “Ki the Sly” Connery is a star hockey player and team captain for the Otters and Zoe is the daughter of the team’s general manager. Their relationship takes so many twists and turns that I was on the edge of my seat reading the whole time. This book is filled with colorful characters, intrigue and… well, a whole league’s worth of stone cut abs. I can’t wait to read more about Harley McCarthy’s hot hockey guys. Go Team!
Happy Wine Wednesday, everybody! I have a great wine / book pairing for you today. I absolutely loved both this amazing first book in author Phoenix Williams' Queen of Beasts series and the glass of chardonnay I sipped on while reading from The Crusher Wines. If you love action packed shifter romance stories and rich unoaked wines, then this is the perfect pair for you to try. Pull up a cozy spot, pour yourself a glass and buckle up!
Welcome to Hell Fire Valley where if the boredom doesn't kill you, the monsters beneath the surface surely will.
Adara Mashall is in town three months after her grandmother's mysterious passing for one thing and one thing only: answers.
But in a town like Hell Fire Valley, the only thing deeper than the family ties are the secrets. Most people know better than to snoop around and stir up the demons that have been hibernating for decades.
Adara isn't most people.
Daniel Farell and Alonzo Leones wanted Adara from the moment she blew into Hell Fire Valley. She's beautiful. She's smart. She's strong. She's the key to getting their hands on the Mashall land.
When tensions mount, Adara finds herself caught in the middle of a territory war and a love triangle. Secrets are revealed. Monsters are awoken. Death is imminent.
Will Adara find the answers she's looking for? Or will Hell Fire Valley be this Queen's final resting place?
From my review:
This is one amazing book. If you love shifter romances with bada** female mc’s then look no further because you will love this story. Adara is awesome! I loved watching her whip out her katanas and kick butt in the fight scenes, of which there were many. If that’s not enough excitement for you, all the steamy romance and the super hot Alonzo is sure to do the trick. The whole story wove together seamlessly and I really enjoyed seeing how all of the secrets and prophecies with the shifter community in Hell Fire Valley played out. That’s all I’ll say because I don’t want to add in any spoilers, but now I can’t wait for Revy’s story in Queen of Beasts 2!
Happy Wine Wednesday everyone! Hope you're all ready for the one evening of the week I like to consider our little mid-week holiday. Slayer Princess Miranda, heir to the throne, has hated the Vampyres for a thousand years. Since the Awakening, she's fought to protect her people, choosing to be a warrior more than a royal. When a female Vampyre washes up on the shore of her compound's riverbank, she seizes the opportunity to take the offensive.
Sathan, King of the Vampyres, distraught at his sister's disappearance and captivity, agrees to travel with Miranda to resect the Blade of Pestilence, also hoping to change his people's state of endless war. Although the woman hates him due to the constant raids on her compound for the Slayers' life-giving blood, he can't help but admire the stubborn and strong princess.
As their journey progresses, both begin to understand that they are aligned in their hatred of Crimeous, leader of the Deamons, as well as their hope for peace between the Slayers and Vampyres. Determined to fight their growing attraction, they forge a tentative truce. But old wounds run deep and trust is scarce. Their faith in each other must remain strong or all will be lost...
**The Etherya's Earth series is best read in order so the reader can enjoy the evolution of the characters. After all, the author loves a good twist, and wants the reader to uncover them organically. However, readers of romance rest assured that each book has its own featured hero/heroine and HEA.
From my review:
This was a great book.!
I loved how the story took place in its own universe in a world outside of the human world. The enemies to lovers romance between the beautiful Slayer, Miranda, and gorgeous vampire hunk, Sathan, started out at a simmer then grew to a full hot flame that and was very enjoyable read. Can’t wait to see what happens next in this series with Lila and Latimus.
Hello wine and romance lovers! It's that time of the week again. The time I get to talk about two of my favorite things--wine and romance novels! This week's pairing is brought to you by Author K. O. Newman's Paranormal Romance, Reclaiming Psyche and Beringer Bros. Tequila Barrel Aged Suvignon Blanc. It's pretty good, you should try it--both the wine and this fabulous book. Do it! You'll be glad you did ;) Links are down below. Till next week, I'm wishing you all a Happy Wine Wednesday and, as always, lots of happy reading.
There was a spark. And then he was gone, and she's left with a little more than she bargained for...
I had it all handled. I had a great job, with my slightly crazy best friend, and I was doing my damnedest to raise my little girl all by myself, with maybe a little help from my friends. Didn't matter that I hadn't really known Hannah's dad. What mattered was that I loved my daughter with everything I had.
I was a former Special Forces Operative, who now was dealing with the fact that Gods, who had once been myth, were real. And I was supposedly one of them. I certainly didn't feel anything like a god. Most days I barely felt like a functioning adult. Fighting for the right side was never a hard choice, but superpowers where a whole nother animal that I wasn't ready to deal with.
When Paige and her best friend Aimee move back to the states for a job with the illustrious Oracles, gods who had come back to earth, she is faced with a man she never thought she would see again. Hannah's dad stood there, as sculpted and perfect as the last time she had seen him. Well, maybe a little less naked. And he was looking right at her as she stepped off the elevator. What is the first thing she does? Punches him right in the face. Thank the gods that Hannah didn't see.
Kick off your shoes, grab a cup of tea, and dive in to Paige and Nik's world of Gods and Monsters. Not to mention their second chance at love. This book is completely safe, no cheating, and I promise a HEA at the end.
From my review:
I really enjoyed the whole concept behind this book. I'm a sucker for re-engineered mythology and I loved the idea of the gods coming back to earth and manifesting themselves in humans. The romance was hot and the characters made me laugh out loud. There were some errors that did take me away from the story from time to time, but I enjoyed the world that the author built and think it's a great debut book from Newman. 4.5 stars for this highly imaginative and steamy read!

Captured and taken into her enemy's home, she finds herself falling deeper and deeper under the spell of an enigmatic and charming Dragon warrior. Dederic challenges her, tempts her and leaves her longing for what is possible.

Author's Note: This is a medium-burn romance intended for readers 18+. This story contains strong language, sex, and violence.
Available on Amazon
From my review:
I loved the whole world that the author built. Her colorful descriptions and the characters that she created really pulled me into to the futuristic setting where humans and dragon kind are at war with each other and treachery lurks around every corner.
Song of Smoke begins with Seda, the human daughter of the high king of Illburn, being sold into marriage to a cruel warlord. Seda’s compassion and empathy are constantly landing her on the wrong side of her cold, heartless father and the rest of the male dominated court. Woman have no higher ranking than cattle and are treated abominably in the underground kingdom where humans have been forced to dwell since the beginning of the war with the dragons. When Seda’s soft heart leads her to aid in a dragon’s escape from the dungeon at Illburn, she becomes entangled in the world of dragons and quickly learns that all the horrid tales she had heard about the shifters were lies.
In the home of a dragon pride she sees a better way of life and her magical gift flourishes under the tutelage of the very handsome shifter, Dederic. If I ever run across a dragon shifter man, I hope he looks just like Dederic because *swoon* - he’s so sexy!
There were a few typos and grammar errors but nothing that detracted from the story. All in all, this was a great read that kept me engaged from start to finish.

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! Here is a small bit from Moontide and a beautiful reader pic, along with a new review. If you haven't started the Tides of Atlantis series yet, what are you waiting for? Grab a copy of Moontide or read it for free on Kindle Unlimited and ... slip into the Tides.
Captain Ronan Garring stepped out from behind the mists and into the blaring sounds of a modern day tavern. The last time he and his crew had come to the surface, there’d been nothing here but a stretch of beach. That had been nearly a century ago.
His five man crew followed behind him, then spread out into a throng of people and tried to blend in with the mass of revelers. He skirted the crowd and looked for his contact. The place thrummed with unearthly energies, but they weren’t of the heavenly variety so he knew that the Olympian had yet to show. It figured. The entities that resided in Zeus’s realm were generally a careless lot of bastards so it wasn’t surprising that whoever Poseidon had sent him to meet was late.
He studied his surroundings, noting the carefree attitude of the humans. They had no idea that they danced and drank with the dark spirits of the underworld. Ronan could see them though. He’d always been able to see the others.
His vision blurred for an instant as a wave of nausea came over him then passed. It was Thema the Nereid’s curse; a subtle reminder that his time here was finite. The longer he stayed away from his sea realm island, the more pain that would be inflicted on him by the nymph who held his life in her hands. And if he stayed too long…well, he had no hope of escaping back to earth permanently unless he wished for an excruciating death. This was how the Nereid queen fulfilled Poseidon’s demand that he be used as an emissary while she kept him and his men bound to her. Even after she’d been banished from the Isle of Gades, the curse remained effective. Thema had angered Poseidon by interfering with humans when she took Ronan and his crew as her slaves, now they worked for Poseidon though they had never seen the god themselves.
Rolling his shoulders back, he ignored the drain of the curse and waited at the end of the bar so he had a better view of the place the Tides had dropped him and his crew into. Finn, Bas and James had already stationed themselves within the tavern’s perimeter while Will and Cully were still exiting the portal. They’d been eager to travel through the mists and see 21st century Earth, while at the same time, watching their captain’s back. Their loyalty reminded Ronan why he had accepted the evil Thema’s terms for their survival centuries ago.
Ronan searched the crowd until his eyes landed on a young woman sitting all the way across the dance floor. A mix of moon and artificial light reflected off her skin and hair and she appeared to glow. Her luminous quality piqued his sixth sense, but he couldn’t get a read off of her that exposed her as anything other than human. Still, there was something about her that he couldn’t turn away from. She shone like something otherworldly, but not from any kind of demon glamour.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic start to the series!
This author is new to me and I am so happy that I found her! Elements of Greek Mythology mixed with regular people makes for an interesting paranormal romance read! The subplots are engaging well-crafted. The worldbuilding is a mix of the Ancient and modern world are rich and very well thought out-this alone deserves 5 stars. The dynamic between Ronan and Cindy left me rooting for them early on! Although there are quite a few plot threads to follow Amanda brings it all together while simultaneously setting up for the next installment! I thought this was well executed. This was an easy 5 star for me and I am looking forward to delving into book 2! Well done!
