Stars-Wow! What can I say about this amazing book?

I was taken aback by this book. I absolutely loved it! From the get-go, I was hooked on Odile's heartbreaking story and the connection between her and a certain shadowy stranger who saves her from her prison. The history woven throughout, the sheer amount of dark romance, and utterly sublime imagery captivated me. The writing style flowed beautifully. The characters are visceral, their emotions raw and authentic. And what can I say about Azarus? "dreamy sigh" Gods, this man enchanted me. Where has this book boyfriend been all my life? The way he speaks, so eloquent and poetic at times, ughhh! He just exudes sexy. This is definitely one of those books I will reread again and again. I cannot wait to devour every other novel this author has to offer.

There you have it. To read more book reviews for other books that I have out, just click on the Reviews tab.

Romance, Reads & Wine - Barely Breathing and Mile High Winery

3/20/2019

Happy Wine Wednesday everybody! I know I've been MIA the last couple of weeks but now I'm back with a hot, new pairing for you. This week's wine / book love affair is brought to you by USA Today Bestselling Author, Pamela Clare's Barely Breathing and Mile High Winery's American Zinfandel. I put these two together after finishing the book to show a little love to my home state. Both the wine and the author are home grown Coloradans and Clare's amazing Colorado High Country series is all Colorado mountain life, all the time.
I've been a fan of Clare's books for a long time and really love her historical romances but Barely Breathing  brings the small town, mountain  setting to life. Throughout the book, I found myself shaking my head and thinking, 'Yup. I know these people.' There's a lot of action in the books to keep you on the edge of your seat, hot, sexy romance and a bunch of hunky, mountain climbing rescue team heroes. Yay, Colorado! Be sure to add this book to your TBR and grab yourself a glass from The Mile High Winery to go with. Again, my F'sWB -friends with books ;), happy Wine Wednesday and happy reading!

A hot contemporary romance from the author of the acclaimed I-Team series…

Lexi Jewell left Scarlet Springs twelve years ago, vowing never to return to the small Colorado mountain town where she grew up. Now, here she is—over thirty, out of a job and with little choice but to move back in with her eccentric father. Lexi knows it’s just a matter of time before she runs into Austin Taylor, her first boyfriend and her first heartbreak. She’s determined to show him she’s over him—until he steps out of a pickup truck and back into her life, looking sexy as hell in his mountain ranger uniform.

As far as Austin is concerned, Lexi can turn her snazzy little convertible around and drive back to Chicago. After all, she ripped his teenage heart to pieces and turned her back on the town he loves. But from the moment he sees her again, he can’t get her out of his mind. Even her smile messes with his head.

When an evening of conversation turns into something else, Lexi and Austin agree to be friends—with benefits. But as Lexi starts making plans to return to the big city, Austin realizes he’ll lose her a second time unless he can show her that what she’s searching for has been right here all along.

I'm adding a new section to the website for reviews that will be up shortly. It will be under the Reviews tab. Some of these are directly off book sales sites and others are from book bloggers and reviewer websites so I'll add in the links. These are great sites to browse through. I always find terrific new books to read myself and there are some other fun memes and bookish things on there as well so be sure to have a look. The reviews will post to the blog first, like these two today for Moontide and Snow Maiden that I'm starting with. Take a look and see what readers are saying...

5 Stars- A delightful read!
The combination of Greek mythology, a steamy affair and a wonderful sense of humor make this a delightful read. Working out the various subplots created another level of intrigue and interest as well.

Happy book teaser Tuesday! Her is a little line from Odile that a book reviewer found and quoted. It's the coolest thing ever when a reader picks a little piece out of a story that really stands out to them am quotes it in an excerpt so I thought I would share this with you today.
