Myth Wine Bottle

Thought I'd start putting my wine bottle posts on the blog, especially since this one goes so well with the mythology romance theme. It even has an Emerson quote on the back label.

"Adopt the secret of nature;
  Her secret is patience."

Snow Maiden

A commoner and the outcast of her village, Nika is forced to flee her home to keep the dark secret of her birth. When she is hunted by a rugged Northman, she finds herself lost in a land of spells and curses. His kisses start to melt her cold, lonely heart, her secrets are laid bare and she finds herself in a magic war for the man and the kingdom she loves.

King of a cursed winter kingdom...when Vasilli first lays eyes on Nika stealing bread at a fair, he knows he has to have the fair haired beauty. The legends surrounding his kingdom tell of a snow maiden who will break the curse of the Northern Kingdom but he wants Nika for his own.

From a land of winter, ice and snow comes a tale of enchantment and romance.
Mages and sorceresses, omens and curses - this spellbinding grownup fairytale is a story of magic in an ancient land and a legendary love that will heat up even the coldest night.

Blurb for Moontide:
Upon A Moonswept Tide…
Trapped in time…Ronan Garring is a man of action; a ship captain who has sailed the seas from Europe to the Caribbean…in the seventeenth century. When he is tricked by a sea nymph, he is sent to a deserted island in Poseidon’s realm to serve the gods for all time. On a mission to modern day Miami, he finds his earth home crawling with underworld evil and is waylaid by an enchanting human woman who seems to stall his attempts at completing his quest at every turn. He can’t be sure if she is an entirely innocent wrecking ball or the agent of a more sinister force. Against all his good intentions, he finds himself continually, albeit pleasantly, entangled with her both in this world and beyond.
Searching…for a friend whose gone missing, Cindy Pierce left the Rocky Mountains for the beaches of Miami to try to make sense of, what looks to be, a hopeless case. As the trail grows cold, she stumbles into an intriguing dark stranger and is literally knocked flat. Fierce and intense as he is, towering over her and exuding old world masculinity, she can’t help her body’s immediate response to him. When she finds herself being chased across the southern tip of Miami and into the Florida Keys by the handsome foreigner however, she’s convinced he’s not only psychotic but intent on doing her harm. Once she finds herself in his arms again though, her attraction to him can’t be denied and neither can the fact that he may be the only one who can save her from the dark forces at work on the beach.

Tides of Atlantis
Mankind and the gods alike have grown complacent and the restless forces of the underworld that have been simmering beneath the surface are coming out to play. They will not stop until their thirst for vengeance is satisfied and all worlds have returned to yawning pre-time chaos.
Ten lost kings ─ sons of Poseidon─ and rulers of a condemned land are our last hope…if only they can be found. Cursed by the gods after the fall of Atlantis, the kings have passed into anonymity with no memory of who they are. Forces of both good and evil are hunting them. Poseidon needs them to win the war for the universe. Evil is bent on their destruction.

Join the race to find the kings in Amanda V. Shane’s new Tides of Atlantis series and help them to discover their soul mates, the women who will win their lost hearts and help them fulfill their destiny!

New Books and Plans for 2018

Happy 2018 from the blog! After a break for the holidays, I just wanted to take this first post of the new year to wish everyone well. I hope the holiday season was a joyous time for all of you and your loved ones.

I am very excited to get things rolling on the Tides of Atlantis series early this year with the first book in the series, Moontide, is going through the final stages before release day. I am planning for a February launch and I am so excited to bring the Tides world to you. Stay tuned for the cover reveal, I will be posting teasers here and on social media this week!

Before we get too far into January though, I just wanted to take a look back at my first book Snow Maiden and thank everyone who was so supportive of it since it went live a little over a month ago. Friends, family and all those of you who were so encouraging - you have my heartfelt thanks. This book was a learning experience for me and a project that I undertook, mostly, to teach myself as much as I could about self publishing but I really fell in love with the story and had so much fun creating it that I’ve made plans to do more Ballet Fairy Tale based romances in the future and will keep you updated.

I was really happy with the way the Snow Maiden turned out and, even more so, with the response it got even though I did little to no marketing or promotions for it besides my posts here and on my social media sites. Aside from that, I still managed to get a really wonderful 5 star review from Miss Angela Gibbons, who discovered Snow Maiden and was gracious enough to go out on a limb with a new indie author and not only read but review my book on Amazon and Goodreads. So a big shout out and thank you to Angela for all of her support. She even featured the Snow Maiden theme in some beautiful jewelry she made for her business Whiskey Angel Designs which is the coolest thing ever and so pretty!

Then, over the weekend, I was happy to be informed that a review of Snow Maiden had gone up on the paranormal romance blog I Smell Sheep. Reviewer Bethany green of I Smell Sheep did a very nice write up of it there and gave it 5 sheep no less! Here is the link if you would like to pop over and have a look. So another shout out and a huge thank you to Bethany.

I hadn’t done a whole lot of sharing since this was my first book but I didn’t want to wait any longer to thank those who have been so giving with their time and support. Your interest means so much to me and is helping me to learn and grow with my writing more than you can know.

Looking ahead, my main goal for this year is to launch the Tides series. I am really looking forward to Moontide. I’ve had this world taking up residence in my mind for quite a while now and hope you will enjoy the characters and the premise behind this new mythology romance. Be sure to look for teasers and, of course the cover reveal. Another big thank you to cover designer Anika of Ravenborn Designs, whose work is amazing! She did the Snow Maiden cover and now has created the cover for Moontide which, I don’t know if you can tell, but I am bursting at the seams to share with you all – so exciting!

Until then, I wish you all health and lots of happy reading in the 2018!

What are some of your plans for the New Year? What books are you hoping to read this year and what trends in romance are you looking forward to?
