Storm Tide, Book 4 in the Tides of Atlantis series is now live!
Banished from the Underwater Realm, Isdra—a Selkeen princess of Seaverse—undergoes the dangerous process of learning to live in the human world all alone. When she runs afoul of a secret organization that hunts her kind, they give her an ultimatum: steal a legendary sword and kill the one who guards it to win her way back to Seaverse or die by their hands and cause her world to perish. Resolved, she takes on the mission. The last thing she expects, however, is the burning attraction she feels towards the warrior she finds beneath the sea when she does.
Cursed by a band of witches, Viking warrior, Karr of the Völbroks, has lain frozen in an ice cave for over a thousand years. When the beautiful angel that awakens him turns out to be a murderous selkie, he fights his way through modern day Reykjavik to retrieve what she’s stolen and protect the city from an ancient foe.
Drawn to each other from the very start, will Karr and Isdra’s growing desire prove too strong to resist or will the troubles of their homelands keep them apart?

A little longer snippet from Storm Tide for #teasertuesday today. This snippet comes from a scene where Karr and Isdra are in the frozen Isle of Emar together after just learning a big secret. I’ll be putting out a longer excerpt later this month in my Monsters & Mystics newsletter. I love writing the Atlantis scenes in my Tides series. What's your favorite fantasy world?

Happy Monday! Just a quick note to let you know that my new flash fiction story is up on the Wild At Heart blog, and Monday Motivation post.
Have a great week!
Things are getting spookier by the minute around my little town. Not really, but there is an excitement in the chilly fall air as Halloween and weekend fall festivities approach. Just as a check in, I wanted to let you know that edits are coming along nicely for Storm Tide. I just finished reshaping a pretty tricky scene with a big cast of big players from the Tides world and some major reveals that I hope readers will appreciate. If you want to keep up to date on my progress and read my flash fiction stories first, be sure to sign up for my mailing list. This month's challenge theme is Halloween, of course. Mine is set in a kind of magic slash cyber fantasy world that I really had fun with. Beyond that, I wanted to share some of the pictures and posts from this week's social media lot. I did some spooky bookstagramming and shared more image quotes from my 13 Spooky Romantic Quotes post from last year.
Oh! Also, Odile, Legend of the Black Swan is on sale all the way through Halloween. If you haven't read this hauntingly steamy adult fairy tale, now's your chance to grab the ebook for just 99 cents! Available at all your favorite book retailers.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is one of my favorite fall time stories. I tried to bring life Irving’s love of adjectives by putting lots of bobbles and decorations in the background. (JK)

A little tease from my #wildatheartpnrflashfiction story. Fun!!
EBook sale!! Odile is only $0.99 this week thru Halloween! Pick up your copy of this steamy, dark fairy tale today at your favorite book retailer.
Pale, cold mistress of the serpent’s lair, blood red lips and coal black hair…
Enter the world of the Black Swan, a dark and seductive tale where things are not always as they seem. Odile is the reviled villainess of Aarroughac, a castle inhabited by the evil wizard, Count Rothebart. After a sinister magic sweeps through the land and results in death, Odile is accused of the crime. Von Rothebart vanishes, leaving her to face the wrath of an entire kingdom alone until a mysterious stranger with powers of his own comes along.
With vengeance as his guide, Lord Azarus di Caspari hunts an ancient curse. When he crosses paths with the Black Swan of legend, he immediately makes up his mind to use the temptress’s magic for his own devices. But when Azarus learns that the story of the sorceress might not be true, disappointment gives way to desire. Spells are cast and secrets are revealed, but can love exist in the shadow of two dark hearts such as theirs?
Are the tales of the Black Swan true? Is she a murderess and an evil sorceress to be feared or is she the only thing standing between true evil and the fall of a kingdom? Only time will tell as the magical story of the Black Swan unfolds.
Odile, Legend of the Black Swan is a fantasy, fairy tale romance inspired by the legendary ballet, Swan Lake. A standalone Enchanted Lands Romance.

Here's one of the books from my latest Thriftbooks haul. I'm obsessed with that site. I love shopping for books there, especially since I used to be a big used bookstore shopper and we don't have any of those left in my area.
I don’t know if I told you all that I started collecting old fairy tales, folklore and world mythology books. I have a little bookstagram account on instagram where I have pictures up of what I have so far. Since I’m trying to streamline my social media a bit, I may start posting those here. Anyway, I saw this neat book on dragons and bought it to use for research. It has some really neat info on dragon myths worldwide so I’m excited to get into it.
What are your favorite mythical creatures to read about and why?

P.S. I had a mad crush on Atreyu back in the day. #tellmeimnottheonlyone
